CitiQuiet Hurricane Windows are all custom made to order and are fabricated to compliment any and all conditions and styles. Choose from "Our Products" page to learn more about each window and door.
An impact window/ door system consists of your choice or frame material; aluminum, vinyl, or wood. These frames combined with varying thicknesses of laminated glass create the Citiquiet high impact window.
Different locations or "zones" require different design pressures mandated by the building codes in your area. Based upon our engineer's findings, different types of laminated glass are used to meet and exceed local codes. (i.e. Heat-Strengthened Glass, Storm Glass, Annealed Glass, Tempered Glass, Insulated Glass, and a multitude of other options)
CitiQuiet trained technicians complete a "turn-key" installation in your home or business. Beginning with engineering the product, to receiving approval of your new high impact window from your building department to removal and installation of your new approved high impact/ hurricane code window/door, CitiQuiet is the one to handle all the intrical parts to a complete and successful window/door project.
Before any windows and doors are made available to our clients they are sent to an approved lab where they are tested for air and water seepage, structural pressure, forced entry, and impact resistance.
Following pressure testing, the impacted windows and doors are subjected to 9,000 cycles of positive and negative wind loads to certify that the product can still survive hurricane-force winds.
In a structure where doors and windows are located 30 feet or less from ground level, a "large-missile" impact resistant product must be installed. In locations where the windows and doors are above 30 feet, either l a "large-missile" or "small missile" impact product can be utilized. CitiQuiet Window products have Miami-Dade County product approval for both large- and small-missile resistance.
